TWow! We did it! We made it through the first week :)
We had an eventful and successful first week together in our room. I am so so excited to be spending the school year with such awesome kids. They are already surprising me!! Here are a few highlights from our week:
*I am so proud of what the students came up with. We are really going to be working hard to change the way the students are speaking in class (from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset). I think that having this at the front of our room is going to be an excellent reminder. Also, feel free to follow me on Twitter to see more pictures like that.
Thanks for subscribing, as well! Hope this makes it to you :) As always, if you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to email, or fill out this form to contact me! Have a great weekend!
It's been a while :)
There are 10 full days of school remaining (but who's counting!)! Quick reminders that we are still teaching in our limited time together :) It is becoming increasingly more challenging to maintain focus as the heat increases, but all of your support has been incredibly welcome! Mini Update: Grade 4s are working on fractions and fractured fairy tales. Grade 6s are completing their final projects. Housekeeping: I will be taking each of those grade specific pages offline for the summer starting next week. Please feel free to copy or steal anything you may need :) I will also be deleting all subscriptions at the beginning of July. Thank you so much for subscribing and allowing me to use this as my preferred method of communication. Hope you're all hanging in there :) As always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! -Ms. W. Grade 4 Update
Grade 6 mini-update Only 25 more school days left for the students! Please remind your children that while we are rounding out the school year, appropriate dress, effort and behaviour is expected every school day. I appreciate your partnership in ensuring a successful finish to our school year :) Also, a friendly reminder of the upcoming PD Day on June 10! As always, don't hesitate to contact me with any questions! -Ms. W. Just a reminder that tomorrow will be the first day for the grade 6 students to write their EQAO test.
Students will not be writing on Thursday (due to the relay races) and will continue to write each day between 12pm and 2pm until June 2nd. Students are reminded that electronic devices are not permitted in the testing room/classroom. Please feel free to bring:
If you have any questions, the EQAO website has some helpful information. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have! Wishing all students a successful week! Update for grade 6
