Well, I guess this is goodbye for a little while! Today is my last day at WEJ as I am moving onto my next challenge - motherhood! Your child will have a brand new teacher in the New Year - Ms. Whittle. She will be following the same schedule, teaching the same curriculum and expecting the same from the students! We will be working over the holidays to ensure a smooth-as-possible transition for your children (ps. all classes will be continuing data management in the New Year). I hope that you welcome her to WEJ in the warmest way :)
Thank you to all of you for being so easy to work with and such great members of my teaching team. It was a pleasure to work with you all. I wish you all a safe and Happy Holiday and look forward to showing off my brand new baby in the New Year! All the best, Ms. Wilson Good morning! Please note that buses are cancelled this morning, but schools remain open. All regularly scheduled activities at the school have also been cancelled. Please be mindful of roads when driving and avoid unnecessary commuting if possible!
If you bring your child to school, please note that a regular program will not likely be delivered as the majority of students in the MFI program are bused in. Also, you will need to arrange (with your child) to pick up your child at, or prior to 3:45pm. Students leaving with a friend will also need a note (just like usual). The end of the day will be a chaotic time for pick-ups, so please follow instructions of staff in the parking lot to avoid dangerous situations. BE SAFE! Update for Mme. Al-Qedra
All students will be receiving Scholastic book orders today! In order to ensure quick delivery for the holidays, please return the orders by Thursday, December 4. This is also a great time of year for you to do some holiday/special shopping. If you are interested in having the books sent home with a sibling in another grade, in a sealed envelope, or picked up by you at the office, please indicate that on a post-it along with your sealed book order, and I would be happy to oblige :) Also, all classes are collecting for the Kanata Food Cupboard. This is a give-what-you-can drive with a goal of making a local family-in-need feel a little special over the holiday season. -Ms. W. |
