Good morning!
A huge 'Thank You!' to everyone who came to Meet the Teacher night last night. It was truly a pleasure to meet each one of you. I hope that you enjoyed touring around our classroom. For those of you who could not make it, I look forward to meeting with you eventually. As I mentioned to those I met last night, I am always happy to schedule a meeting (with a little bit of notice) to check in. I am also happy to give you a quick ring during my Prep time. This week in math, we are starting our studies in whole numbers. The grade 6 expectation is to read, represent, compare and order whole numbers up to 1 000 000. Different ways to help work on this at home:
In LA, we are still working on Wonder in our Google Classroom. I am really enjoying the digital component to this work. Thank you to everyone who was interested in linking up to their child's account. If this is something you are interested, just shoot me a quick email (with the email you'd like me to link up) and let me know! More information can be found HERE. If you have not returned your form for the Carp fair, please return that, send a note in the agenda with your intentions or email me. Our posters will be submitted for judging this evening! Hope to see some of you there this weekend! :) That's all for now! Have a great week. -Ms. W. Hello everyone! Week 2 is almost complete. We’ve had another great week together. TWow! We did it! We made it through the first week :)
We had an eventful and successful first week together in our room. I am so so excited to be spending the school year with such awesome kids. They are already surprising me!! Here are a few highlights from our week:
*I am so proud of what the students came up with. We are really going to be working hard to change the way the students are speaking in class (from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset). I think that having this at the front of our room is going to be an excellent reminder. Also, feel free to follow me on Twitter to see more pictures like that.
Thanks for subscribing, as well! Hope this makes it to you :) As always, if you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to email, or fill out this form to contact me! Have a great weekend!
